Information
Turkiye... Passeport ? Identity card ?
What else do i need to know?
Good news for travelers: it is not mandatory to have a passport to go to Turkey if you are a European national. The national identity card is sufficient for tourist stays of less than 90 days.
⚠️ Please note: the identity card must be valid. If you have a passport, you can of course use it. It must simply be valid for the entire duration of the stay.
Do I need a visa to go to Turkey?
If you are a national of a country of European Union (France, Belgium, Italy, etc.), you do not need a visa to go to Turkey for your tourist stay.
In all other cases (countries in North Africa, Asia, Latin America, etc.), a visa is generally required. It can be obtained online (e-Visa) or sometimes at embassy, depending on the reason for the stay.
